মিডিয়াতে জয়কে অপহরনের ষড়যন্ত্রের গল্প বানানো হল যেভাবে

ঢাকার অধিকাংশ মিডিয়াতেই আজকের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শিরোনাম হিসেবে একটি খবর প্রকাশিত হয়েছে।” যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে জয়কে অপহরণের ষড়যন্ত্র: বিএনপি নেতার ছেলের কারাদণ্ড‘- শিরোনামটিই সংবাদের গুরুত্বকে নিশ্চিত করে। পত্রিকাগুলো এই খবরের সূত্র হিসেবে মার্কিন বিচার বিভাগের উল্লেখ করেছে।কিন্তু মার্কিন বিচার বিভাগের নথিতে কি জয়কে অপরহনের ষড়যন্ত্রের কথা উল্লেখ আছে? তা হলে ঢাকার মিডিয়া এই তথ্যটুকু কোথায় পেলো? না, ডিপার্টমেন্ট অব জাস্টিসের (ঢাকার মিডিয়া যাকে মার্কিন বিচার বিভাগ বলছে) বিবৃতিতে ‘জয়কে অপহরনের ষড়যন্ত্রের’ কথা নেই। ডিপার্টমেন্ট অব জাস্টিসের বিবৃতিতে বলা হচ্ছে,In pleading guilty, Thaler and Ahmed admitted that, from September 2011 through March 2012, Thaler and FBI Special Agent Robert Lustyik solicited payments from Ahmed, in exchange for Lustyik’s agreement to provide internal, confidential documents and other confidential information to which Lustyik had access by virtue of his position as an FBI Special Agent. Thaler was Lustyik’s friend, and Ahmed, a native of Bangladesh, was an acquaintance of Thaler. The confidential documents and information pertained to a prominent citizen of Bangladesh who was affiliated with a political party opposing Ahmed’s views. Ahmed requested the confidential information to help him locate and harm his political rival and others associated with the intended victim. বিএনপি নেতার পুত্র এবং এফবিআই সদস্যের বিরুদ্ধে যে অভিযোগ আনা হয়েছে- সে সম্পর্কে ডিপার্টমেন্ট অব জাস্টিস বলেছে,Lustyik pleaded guilty on Dec. 23, 2014, to all five counts against him in the indictment: conspiracy to engage in a bribery scheme; soliciting bribes by a public official; conspiracy to defraud the citizens of the U.S. and the FBI; theft of government property; and unauthorized disclosure of a Suspicious Activity Report. ডিপার্টমেন্ট অব জাস্টিস বাংলাদেশের যে ‘প্রমিন্যান্ট ফিগারের’ কথা বলছে- তিনি যে সজীব ওয়াজেদ জয়, তা নিয়ে সন্দেহ নেই।অভিযুক্তরা জয় সম্পর্কে গোপনীয় তথ্য এবং ‘আইনি দলিল’ (লিগ্যাল ডকুমেন্ট) সংগ্রহ করতে এফবিআই এজেন্টকে ঘুষ দিয়েছিলো। তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে আনুষ্ঠানিক অভিযোগগুলো হচ্ছে (১) ঘুষ কেলেংকারি (২) সরকারি কর্মচারী কর্তৃক ঘুষ চাওয়া (৩) মার্কিন নাগরিক এবং এফবিআইকে প্রতারনা করে অর্থ আদায় (৪) সরকারি সম্পত্তি চুরি (৫) সন্দেহজনক এক্টিভিটি রিপোর্টের অননুমোদিত প্রকাশ। কোথাও কিন্তু কাউকে অপহরনের কথা বা ঈঙ্গিত নেই।তা হলে ঢাকার পত্রিকাগুলো জয়কে অপহরনের ষড়যন্ত্রের গল্প ফাঁদলো কেন? – ফেসবুক থেকে
